This painting, created by my beloved grandmother Malak Jadallah, is a poignant reflection of her longing to return to the old city of Jerusalem, where she was born and raised. Despite the displacement her family faced during the 1967 Israeli occupation, Jerusalem remains a constant presence in her thoughts and dreams.
